Education and Skills Requirements:

B Tech or M Tech or MCA in Computer Science
-
Strong C programming skills
-
Knowledge in Relational Databases (RDBMS) and SQL desirable
-
Excellent problem solving and strong debugging skills
Project Assignment:
Development of Teradata Database features, unit testing of bug fixes, providing assistance in debugging and isolating the problems,
Key Areas of Responsibility:

Develop, test, and support database software infrastructure for database internals
-
Aptitude for understanding database applications from the functional and technical perspective
-
Use existing source control, defect reporting, code design and document review processes and tools
Scope:

Works with Technical Lead / Technical Manager & reports to Engineering Manager
Work Environment:
Software Development, Software Testing and Maintenance
Key Competencies/Skills:
- Strong programming skills with C in Linux and Windows O/S
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow documented specifications and plans with minimal supervision
- Experience writing software that employs a relational database API
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Works well in a team environment
- The following skills are desirable but not must: SQL
