Athena Infonomics Recruitment Drive Details:

Position: Intern
Location: Chennai, India
Position Type: Full time (40 hours a week) with a monthly stipend
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 2-3 months

Responsibilities:

• Desk review of policy documents, laws, rules of administration;
• Data cleaning, refining, and data management;
• Data analysis (knowledge of Excel is mandatory);
• Preparing meeting minutes and technical notes;
• Preparing analytical reports, including appropriate infographics;
• Contributing to reporting writing based on data analysis;
• Thinking through policy suggestions concerning public finance and local administration.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Master’s degree in public finance, economics, or a related field;
• Some experience in research, statistics, and evaluation is preferred;
• Workable proficiency in MS Excel, STATA, or R, and willingness to learn other analytical software;
• Excellent writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills;
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Comfort working with multicultural teams and traveling locally for project work.

Additional Requirements:

• The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
