Job Description:
Extreme Network is seeking enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated engineers to lead, design and implement best in class solutions for Extreme’s next generation Enterprise Fabric Network Solutions. The successful candidate will be a key influencer within a team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting high quality embedded systems software in the area of data networking.
Required Qualifications/Experience: – Minimum of B.E/B.Tech or equivalent in CS/EEE/ECE

Design and Development Required Skills: Mandatory: – Experience on Layer2/Layer3 networking protocols – Strong understanding of Data Plane/Forwarding concepts – Working experience on Broadcom Layer2/Layer3 datapath ASICS – Advanced knowledge of Layer-2 Bridging protocols – STP/MSTP/RSTP, 802.1p/q/v, 802.3ad, 802.1x, IGMP – Advanced knowledge of Layer-3 Routing protocols – TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP4, PIM, PIM-SM/SSM – In-depth understanding of Linux operating systems and embedded software development –
Expert programming knowledge in C/C++ – Ability to be productive in flexible and dynamic work environments – Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- – Experience in trouble shooting memory leaks, performance bottlenecks
- – Experience in leading and mentoring junior members
- – Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Highly Desirable: –
Working experience on Dune/Jerico bases Broadcom datapath asics – Experience with successful multi-site development projects
