Job description

Purpose: Responsible for systematic Quality Audits of operations, and act as an Advisor to the Business and a Mentor to the team. Additionally, ensure that the rights management of all third-party content (images, text, video, audio etc.) used in products developed by the business/team is in order, so as to enable the effective and timely compliance, clearance and sourcing of all third party assets are copyright compliant and sourced in a cost-effective manner. Have the capacity of Risk Identification, Assessment, Mitigation, and Prevention.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

Project Management, Training, and Advisory Role

Understand the new product and portfolio requirements from the business, and help them choose the correct rights strategies, at the initial levels of planning. Research, assess, and identify the items that need third party permission clearance and share the budget estimates and the timelines with the business. Source permissions form the copyrights holders, negotiating with them per the budget and time factor. Ensure that all the third-party licenses are agreed ahead of publication and that the licenses are archived. Ensure guidance basis the Risk Assessment, and mitigation. Ensure Quality Audits of the Projects handled by the team, guiding and supervising them. Asset Management and Reporting.

Database Management

Ensure that all the asset information is collated and entered into Rights Capture Ensure that the Project Dashboards and Monthly reports are updated and submitted well on time. Ensure that the payment records of all the copyright holders are well tracked.

Training and Advisory Role

Act as an advisor to business, notifying them with any foreseen litigation challenge. Help them choose and work according to the correct rights strategy. Train and guide the business with the Pearson IP Policies updates. Act towards risk mitigations and as a content solutions provider

Required Candidate profile

Educational Qualifications & Skill Sets:

Fresher (preferably)

a) Position 1 (Q) MBA in Project Management/International Business/etc., OR, M.Com. (honors not required, Mathematics as a subject not mandatory), (S) intermediate excel skills and formula application/s;

b) Position 2 – (Q) LLB/BA.LLB (H) + working knowledge of IPR Laws, (S) Contract Assessment, Deal Negotiations, Risk Management & Advisory;

Skills:

Commendable Presentation and Communication Skills Negotiation Skills Keen presence of mind Ability to take difficult decisions High degree of accountability and transparency

Behavioral

Education:

Doctorate: in Any Specialization, Doctorate Not Required.
